CONSTITUENCY

The South is one of four European constituencies in Ireland with a large urban/rural population.  I meet many delegations at home and in Brussels as well as individual members of the public with national and European concerns. 

To help me inform my fellow policy makers in Europe, I ask for your views which help me to represent your interests in discussions at EU level.  If we are to provide opportunity and care for all, we must agree and prioritise some of the local issues that affect our day to day lives.

The EU is now a community of 27 countries and 500 million people.  Recently we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the enlarged EU so now is a good time to review and plan the necessary policies that will protect the interests of existing and future generations.

PARLIAMENT VISITS

EU AWARENESS VISITS
Each year Fianna Fáil holds EU Awareness Visits to the European Parliament and its institutions (Trips).  Visitors attend a Plenary Session of the Parliament during their stay to familiarise them with the workings of the institutions.  More
